Oleh : Gema Wahyudi   A.     BACKGROUND Pendidikan Lingkungan adalah salah satu ilmu tentang kenyataan lingkungan hidup dan bagaimana pengelolaannya agar menjaga dan menjamin kelangsungan hidup dan kesejahteraan manusia serta makhluk hidup lainnya. Pendidikan tentang lingkungan hidup sangatlah penting. Dengan diberikannya  pendidikan ini kepada masyarakat, diharapkan akan muncul kesadaran agar lingkungan tumbuh dan berkembang dengan baik serta menjaganya. Pendidikan lingkungan ini harus diberikan kepada semua tingkat dan umur, baik melalui jalur sekolah maupun di luar sekolah. Semua jenjang pendidikan hingga masyarakat umum harus mendapatkan pendidikan tentang lingkungan hidup, tentunya dengan penyampaian yang berbeda. Pendidikan ini merupakan salah satu factor penting untuk meminimalisasi kerusakan lingkungan, meningkatkan pemahaman dan kepedulian masyarakat dalam mencari pemecahan dan pencegahan timbulnya masalah lingkungan. Upaya Peningkatan Kualitas Pendidikan Di Daerah Terpencil

oleh : Partin Nurdiani Pendidikan merupakan wadah penting yang menjadi titik krusial pembentukan mental, spititual, sekaligus intelektualitas bagi generasi bangsa. Berbicara mengenai pendidikan di Indonesia memang tidak ada habisnya. Mulai dari prestasi-prestasi anak didik kita di tingkat nasional maupun international hingga rendahnya kualitas pendidikan di daerah terpencil. Masih kurangnya sarana dan prasarana dan kualitas pengajarnya yang pas-pasan menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab pendidikan di daerah terpencil terkesan tertinggal. Sehingga kemajuan pendidikan di Indonesia hanya terpusat di daerah perkotaan sedangkan di daerah terpencil kurang diperhatikan. Tak jarang kurangnya perhatian pemerintah itu mengesankan bahwa pemerataan pendidikan di Indonesia belum benar-benar adil seperti apa yang tercantum dalam UUD 1945.
